At first, we thought about waiting another 6 months or so to take our first family vacation as a family of four, but as Spring break approached we decided we NEEDED a family getaway!! We spent the first three days between Disneyland and California Adventure. The kids had a BLAST!! My parents and niece met us down there and the kids had a blast getting their hair done at Disney 365, going on a ton of rides, playing at the pool and chasing the characters for their signatures. We also spent a day at Knott's Berry Farms. Mason was constantly on the lookout- he LOVED all of the characters as well as the few rides we could take him on- It's a Small World, Storybook and Pirates of the Caribbean. It was an overall great first trip to Disneyland for Mason!

Happy Easter!!
We celebrated Easter early this year because all of our family were going on vacation ON Easter: us to Disneyland as well as my parents, Amie to the Caribbean and Sherrie and Keith to Vegas. The in laws hosted an egg hunt for the kids and a delicious brunch! It was so much fun to watch the kids hunt for eggs as Mason just learned to crawl and after he found the first egg, he knew and was on to the next. Kylie was just as excited as ever; especially when she opened the golden egg and discovered $40.00 in it!! It was so fun to see both of them so excited and enjoying Easter.

Mason is CRAWLING!!
Mason has started CRAWLING!! He started crawling backwards and was doing that for a couple of weeks, but now has mastered crawling forward and ALL around. OH. MY. GOSH. am I in for it or what!! Kylie walked at 9 months and she kept me very busy, but wasn't interested in the light sockets, climbing, cords or any other danger zone. She was very content walking around, playing with Jesse and I or her toys. However, Mason is the opposite. He is MUCH more busy and into everything!! I am constantly chasing him around and sometimes feel like the only word I say to him is "no". In fact, when he reaches for a light socket, before I say a thing, he reaches up at me and shakes his head no. But, proceeds to touch the socket. It is hilarious, but of course I want to keep him safe at the same time. While Kylie didn't pick up every magnified piece of dirt, debri from outside Mason DOES. Everything he picks up goes right into his mouth. At least he says "AWHHH" so I can see and take it out. Last week it was dog hair and this week it was bark. How can any of that taste good? While they both keep me very busy, I love them dearly and realize that these moments will not last forever; therefore we make the most of them: chasing each other around crawling, playing ball on the ground and always playing in water (both of my kiddos fave!!).

Mason- 9 months!
Sometimes it feels like yesterday when Mason was 2 weeks old and other times it feels like a long time ago, which makes me feel happy that I have enjoyed this time so much and it hasn't passed by too quickly! It amazes me how quickly and fast they grow and learn during such a short period of time. It is SO neat!!
Mason had a very successful check up-87% for height, weight and head measurements, :) Also, he has two teeth that have cut and is crawling.....backwards...he goes forwards, then stops on his bum. Jesse and I encourage him to go forward by placing things he cannot have such as our phones or IPODS, but he ends up on his tummy reaching. SO adorable. I was super excited to learn about new foods that I can introuduce to him: chicken, cheese, etc. New foods always make meal time extra fun! We are enjoying watching Mason reach each of these fun milestones!!
